60 Seconds with WITS West speaker — Dione Wilson

Why is speaking at WITS important to you?
A year ago I would never have thought I would be speaking at a summit. Being new to the industry it’s easy to think that I don’t have anything new to share, and while the topic that Amy and I talking about isn’t new I do have the opportunity to share this with others and hope that they can take something from it. This is an amazing opportunity to push myself and step outside my comfort zone and grow professionally. I’m looking forward to meeting new people and hopefully show others that even if you are new to tech there are opportunities out there for your voice to be heard, don’t be afraid to take them!
What inspires you?
I am inspired by individuals who are dedicated to chasing their dreams, no matter how impossible it may seem, those that are driven, and those that are compassionate and have a passion for what they do.
