Meet the Speaker — Jackie Pan
Jackie Pan is a Software Engineering Team Lead at Bloomberg. Her session at WITS MidAtlantic is From IC to Team Lead in Five Years: The Hard Truths of a Woman in Tech.
- Why is speaking at WITS important to you?
My journey as a women in technology started in high school when I was one of four women in our class’s computer science academy of over 30 other students. From then to now, I’ve had the privilege of meeting, learning, and growing from other women in tech and I’m excited to share my story to help others advance their career aspirations.
- Who inspires you?
My parents immigrated to America in 1985 when they were only 25 years old. They took a huge leap of faith at such a young age by moving to a new country and established strong technical careers. They constantly inspire me to want to work harder and be the best version of myself.
