Jennifer Glenski is the AI and Machine Learning Practice Lead at IntelliDyne. Her session at the WITS Spring 2022 Virtual Summit is “AI for Good: A Top 2022 Trend in AI”.

Why is speaking at WITS important to you?

Speaking at WITS is important to me because it gives me the opportunity to share my passion, lessons learned, and tips for success with other technologists that may face similar challenges or situations, so they can progress farther and faster than I did. It’s also important to me to help build the women in technology community, to show that no one has to go it alone if they don’t want to, because we’re all here to support each other.

What or who inspires you?

My sister, Dr. Maria Glenski, inspires me. She is a distinguished computational research scientist, leading teams solving some of our nation’s most pressing challenges in AI and working in critical areas to advance public good. She has already accomplished so much at a young age, including earning her PhD in Computer Science, and she inspires me to grow and do more every day.

Most useful article you’ve read in the last month?

I recently read an interesting article on Four Health IT Trends to Pursue. I’m always excited to read about what’s coming up next in technology.

When you were a kid what was your dream job?

When I was a kid, I wanted to be an Olympic soccer player! I liked kicking a ball around with friends.

Tell us something about your session

My session, “AI for Good: A Top 2022 Trend in AI” covers some exciting real-world applications of AI in healthcare, education, and government, with a look to the future. I’ll also be sharing my own experiences and lessons learned from leading an “AI for good” project applying Natural Language Processing (NLP) to help advance medical research at the national level.

What other sessions or speakers are you most excited to see?

Among others, I’m particularly excited for Kate Gatto’s “Neurodivergent User Experience Design Practicum” and Candice Quadros’ “So you want to be a (Technical) Program Manager” session! I’m looking forward to applying what I learn to better serve my teams and customers, and passing on the knowledge to others.

Register here to hear from Jennifer and the other amazing women in tech speaking at WITS Spring 2022 Virtual Summit.
