Sangeeta Krishnan is a Business Solutions Architect at Daugherty Business Solutions. She is leading a session at the WITS Fall 2021 Virtual Summit on Getting Started with Enterprise DevOps.

Why is speaking at WITS important to you?

I believe sharing experiences and knowledge helps others to learn from it and evaluate their own potential better. Also, promoting women in technology and engineering is important to me and WITS is a platform focused on bringing women from diverse backgrounds to inspire and learn from each other.

What or who inspires you?

There are many who inspire me who show persistence and thrive to succeed. Ability to overcome challenges not just in tech space but in personal space too to achieve inspires me. People who are here in spite of their challenges have a vast set of lessons learnt approaches to share!

Most useful article you’ve read in the last month

I read a lot and my latest pick is a book by Chip and Dan Heath called “Made to Stick”. It is an interesting read which explains what makes some ideas get noticed while others fail.

When you were a kid what was your dream job?

My dream job was an architect to use my creative side. I wanted to build some unique buildings with lots of mirrors.

Tell us something about your session

My session will cover a new trend — Enterprise DevOps. My talk will focus on challenges in getting started with DevOps, common myths, activities and toolkit needed to implement DevOps. I will also discuss the necessary balance between cultural shift and technical needs to succeed in Enterprise DevOps.

What other sessions or speakers are you most excited to see?

There are so many great sessions and hard to pick one but I am excited about Inclusive Design: A Design Thinking and Digital Prototyping Workshop. I have done other design thinking courses like IBM Enterprise Design Thinking and am interested to hear more about it.
