Meet the Speaker — Tiffany Fields
Tiffany Fields is the Director, People & Culture at Exyn Technologies. At the WITS Fall 2021 Virtual Summit, she and her colleagues will be leading a session titled “Benefit of the Doubt: Don’t Minimize Us to Marginalizations” discussing being women of color in tech and helping your company build an inclusive culture.

Why is speaking at WITS important to you?
Representation matters. As we continue to push for more women and BIPOC in the tech space, visibility is everything. Proceeds from the Summit benefit TechGirlz, and it’s important for the younger girls to see the future product of their current efforts.
What or who inspires you?
Oh — I have so many inspirations! Michelle Obama, Brene Brown, and Beverly Tatum just to name a few.
Most useful article you’ve read in the last month
Not one particular article, but I recently read a pretty comprehensive “People First DEI Strategy” playbook by McLean & Company
When you were a kid what was your dream job?
I wanted to be a teacher, then POTUS, then a lawyer.
Tell us something about your session
An exciting panel lead by four women of color share our journeys to earning respect and feeling valued while navigating the male-dominated technology sector.

I’m especially looking forward to seeing Embracing Being “The Only One” to Accelerate your Career lead by Kris Torres, Finding and Wooing Stealth Stakeholders lead by Amber Boaz, and How do I Get Adopted? lead by Angel Henry.
